Honoring Your Journey Without Gatekeeping

Navigating the medical system for gender-affirming care often feels exhausting. You already know who you are and what your body needs. The requirement to obtain a psychological evaluation can feel like unnecessary gatekeeping or just another administrative hurdle standing between you and your surgery date.

As a queer-identified clinical psychologist with lived experience in the LGBTQ+ community, I understand this frustration deeply. My goal is to make this evaluation process affirming, straightforward, and accessible. I am here to help translate your lived experience into the specific clinical language that surgeons and insurance companies demand. By providing rigorous, objective documentation, I help protect your surgical timeline and minimize frustrating insurance pushback.

What We Evaluate

Surgical Readiness
$0.00

We document your history of gender dysphoria and confirm your preparedness for interventions like top surgery, bottom surgery, facial gender confirmation, or vocal surgery.

Clinical Justification
$0.00

We use targeted psychological screening measures alongside DSM-5-TR criteria to build an ironclad clinical justification for medical necessity.

Recovery Planning
$0.00

We will discuss your post-operative aftercare plan, physical environment, and emotional support network to ensure you have what you need for a safe and healthy recovery.

The Assessment Process

Your evaluation is designed to be efficient and respectful of your time. We follow a clear four-step pathway.

Step 1: Intake and Screening

Once you schedule your appointment, you will receive a secure packet of standardized psychological screening questionnaires. Completing these before we meet allows us to focus our live time entirely on your specific goals.

Step 2: The Testing Session

We will meet via telehealth for a single, focused clinical interview. This is a conversational, collaborative space where we discuss your gender journey, current mental wellness, and surgical plans.

Step 3: Analysis and Report Writing

Following our session, I integrate your screening data with our interview insights. I then draft a robust clinical letter that aligns with the latest WPATH Standards of Care Version 8 (SOC 8).

Step 4: Feedback and Delivery

Within 10 business days of your session, you will receive the finalized, signed document. Up to 30 minutes of consultation time with your medical team is included - at no additional cost.
